Susan is a lawyer with over 30 years’ experience in analyzing, reviewing and drafting legislation and other legal documents for both advanced and developing countries. She recently worked as a senior executive with the Queensland (Australia) Parliamentary Council, where she drafted wide-ranging laws for the provincial government. Previously, she served as legislative counsel for the Australian Parliamentary Council, where she drafted laws pertaining to banking, corporations, education, environment, health and safety, law reform, pensions, trade, transport, and many other issues.
Susan also has experience in private legal practice where she drafted commercial documents for banks and multinational corporations. She has also worked in public administration where, as a senior executive, she advised Ministers in converting public policy into legally effective and easy to understand legislation.
As a legal and policy expert, Susan has advised governments in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East and Oceania on legislative drafting projects sponsored by the ADB, DfID, EBRD, EC and USAID. She is a graduate of Queensland University of Technology and is admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland.
